Become an IB with IBFX at CXM Direct
IBFX is a Master IB of CXM Direct. You introduce clients to CXM Direct and receive a rebate at the rate you agree; IBFX sets up your IB account inside the IBFX network and supports you as you work.
This page sets out the other side too: markup makes your clients’ spread higher, an IB takes on responsibilities under the agreement with CXM, and there is legal risk in Vietnam.
What an IB is, and what a multi-level network is
An IB (introducing broker) is someone who introduces clients to a broker. The client opens an account through the IB and trades; the broker pays the IB a share of its revenue, worked out from the client’s trading volume, and that share is called a rebate.
A Master IB is an IB that runs a network of several IBs. IBFX is a Master IB of CXM Direct; when you become an IB with IBFX, your IB account sits inside the IBFX network, and you can have IBs of your own as well.

What CXM publishes for IBs
CXM’s Introducing Brokers page lists 8 points. That page is written in Vietnamese, so the points below are IBFX’s translation of it, checked against CXM’s IB agreement on Sep 14, 2026. CXM’s page does not state the USD per lot, the conditions for joining, or when commission is paid.
| What CXM publishes | IBFX’s note |
|---|---|
| Instant IB rebate | The template IB agreement (clause 34) says the share of the spread markup and the commission are reconciled quarterly. Ask exactly how the rebate is recorded for your account when it is set up. |
| Withdraw IB commission immediately | Under clause 6 of the IB agreement, a payment period with a rebate under 75 USD is not paid out, and each withdrawal carries a 25 USD bank transfer fee. |
| No limit on IB levels | An IB in the network can have IBs of their own. What each level keeps is agreed between the IBs themselves. |
| No limit on the number of IB groups | The page does not explain what an IB group is used for. Ask CXM when your IB account is set up. |
| Flexible markup | Markup is added to the client’s spread: an account with markup carries a higher spread than the same account type without markup. CXM pays that share to the IB (clause 34). |
| Rebate rates that differ by instrument | The rebate schedule is split by product group: FX and energies, metals, crypto, indices; Cent accounts are counted in pips. The exact rates are negotiated when you sign. |
| No minimum holding period | The page does not say whether this applies to the IB or to the client. A client’s deposits and withdrawals follow CXM’s client agreement. |
| Online and offline IB support programs | The page does not describe what the program includes. What IBFX adds is in the section below. |
What IBFX adds
On top of CXM’s program, IBs in the IBFX network get:
-
Documents
Material on CXM Direct’s products and account types, and on working as an IB. The company introduction deck comes from CXM; IBFX updated the legal entity, insurance, account types, leverage, VPS, Trading Central and MT5 sections against CXM’s website, and CXM confirmed those changes on Sep 17, 2026.
-
Training
How to introduce a client, how to be clear with them about risk, and the IB terms you have to keep to.
-
Community group
A group where the IBs in the IBFX network talk to each other.
-
Tools
Tools for IBs that run right here on IBFX, with no sign-up:
-
Client support
Help for your clients when they open an account, verify their identity and find their way around CXM Direct’s platform.
Rebate and markup
The two ways CXM pays an IB. For the rebate and markup rates for IBs in the IBFX network, contact IBFX.
Rebate
CXM pays the IB per round-turn lot the client trades. The rebate is negotiated when you sign and differs by product group (FX and energies, metals, crypto, indices); Cent accounts are counted in pips.
Markup: your client pays more
Markup is added to the client’s spread. An account with markup carries a higher spread than the same account type without markup, so every trade costs more; CXM pays that share to the IB (clause 34 of the IB agreement). IBFX may use markup: if the account of a client you introduce carries markup, tell the client plainly.
Who this suits, and who it does not
It suits you if you
- already have a community, a group or students who trade and who trust you
- understand leverage and the risk of losing your capital, and are ready to say so plainly to a client
- want to do this for the long run: teaching clients and having them practice on a demo account before they deposit
It does not suit you if you
- only want a steady sum of money and do not want to look after clients
- want to take clients’ money, manage their funds or trade on their behalf
- do not trade yourself and do not understand the product you would be introducing
- have not looked into the rules on foreign exchange brokerage where you live
What an IB is responsible for
Under CXM’s IB agreement. A breach can mean commission is refused, or the agreement is ended.
- Promotional material has to be approved by CXM before you publish it. That covers articles, websites, ads and the messages you send clients. An IB is responsible for the content of their own website. (clauses 4.1–4.3)
- Do not take a client’s money. The client deposits straight into their own account at CXM. (clause 4.6)
- Do not trade for a client without written authority. Every order placed on a client’s behalf has to be expressly allowed by that client. (clause 5)
- Do not charge a client anything extra. Beyond the commission the agreement allows, an IB charges nothing else on a client’s trading with CXM. (clause 8)
- Do not promise to shield a client from losses. No side agreement with a client about profit or about capping a loss. (clauses 4.13, 19)
- No churning. Do not let a client trade more than they should simply to generate commission. CXM can act on an account flagged for churning to protect the client. (the anti-churning undertaking)
- Liquidity limits are counted together. When one IB or money manager controls several accounts, the limits on lots per trade, on the waiting time and on open lots apply to the whole group. A breach can mean commission is refused and trades are cancelled. (CXM Liquidity Guidelines) Check a list of trades
- Follow the law where you operate. An IB is responsible for the licenses, the tax and every rule that applies to working as an IB in their own country. (clauses 4.4, 4.5)
Legal risk in Vietnam
In Vietnam, foreign Forex brokers are not licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam to provide foreign exchange services to individuals.
Introducing clients to trade at a foreign broker in return for commission may be treated as unlicensed foreign exchange brokerage under the rules on foreign exchange management, and it may be penalized. In a dispute with the broker, neither you nor your client is protected by Vietnamese law.
IBFX does not give legal advice. Before you work as an IB, read the rules in force or ask a lawyer.

Questions and answers
What is the rebate rate for IBs in the IBFX network?
Contact IBFX to find out. CXM’s rebate is negotiated when you sign, counted per round-turn lot, and differs by product group; Cent accounts are counted in pips.
How often is commission paid?
CXM’s website says the IB rebate is instant and can be withdrawn straight away. The template IB agreement says fees are reconciled quarterly, that a period with a rebate under 75 USD is not paid out, and that each withdrawal carries a 25 USD fee. Ask for the detail when your IB account is set up.
Can an IB in the IBFX network bring in IBs of their own?
Yes. CXM states there is no limit on IB levels; what each level keeps is agreed between the IBs themselves.
Will my clients know that I receive commission?
Yes. Under clause 33 of the IB agreement, CXM notifies the client in writing that CXM pays the IB; if the client asks, they are told the amount and which IB receives it.
How does markup affect my clients?
An account with markup carries a higher spread than the same account type without markup, so every trade costs them more. Tell a client plainly if their account carries markup.
Do I need a license to work as an IB?
You may, depending on the rules where you live. Read the legal section on this page and ask a lawyer before you start.
