How it is calculated
Commission for one group = round-turn lots × rebate per lot. The commission for the month is the groups added up.
- The product groups follow the rebate appendix to CXM's IB agreement: FX and energy, metals, crypto, indices. Each group has its own rebate rate.
- The rebate rate is negotiated when you sign with CXM, so this page carries no default figure. The numbers on the page are the ones you enter, not what CXM pays every IB.
- Cent accounts quote the rebate in pips: commission = lots × pips × the value of 1 pip on 1 lot for that account type. Read the pip value from your trading platform; a Cent account is far smaller than a standard one.
Example
Clients trade 120 FX lots over the month and the rebate you agreed is 3 USD per lot: 120 × 3 = 360 USD.
Rebate conditions worth knowing
- Under clause 6 of CXM's IB agreement, a payment period with a rebate below 75 USD is not paid out, and each withdrawal carries a 25 USD bank transfer fee.
- Commission comes from what your clients trade. The IB agreement includes an anti-churning undertaking: an IB must not let clients overtrade simply to generate commission. A breach can mean commission refused and trades cancelled, so do not encourage clients to trade more than they need to.
- To see what each level in the IB network receives per lot, use the Multi-level rebate split tool. The IBFX IB program is on the IB partner page.
